Testimonials of Our Work

  • Redding Police Department

"I had taken an 8-hour CIT class a few years ago and since became a member of my department's Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT).  I enrolled in Mike Summers's 24-hour CIT course to refresh and build upon my knowledge and skills. The class not only met but exceeded my expectations. It was well-balanced, educational and offered a great variety of presenters who were experts in their fields. The course was equally informative and engaging for first time students as well as experienced crisis responders like me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it."

I met Mike several years ago at a Suicide Prevention training and as a clinician, I was very impressed with the work that he shared he had done with crisis interventions teams.  Fast forward to 5 years ago, our Undersheriff at the time, approached me about CIT training for their department. I reached out to Mike and we have been partnering with him and his trainers ever since.  It is always a pleasure to work with Mike and his team and the feedback from both law enforcement and Behavioral Health staff that participate in the training is extremely positive.  We have also incorporated de-escalation trainings for non-clinical staff which has been a significant support for staff that are not clinically trained in the Behavioral Health Department, as well as other local departments and agencies. We continue to schedule annual trainings because they are of such benefit and value to our staff and our community. Thank you to Mike and his team!
